Elaine Rapp

SOCIAL WORKER THERAPIST

Elaine is a registered social worker with over 25 years of experience in medical social work and counseling. Elaine graduated from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work in New York City in 1998 and has practiced in oncology and palliative care for the majority of her career. She has a particular interest and focus on bereavement and continues to run group support with a community support agency. She believes that grief is non pathological and a normal part of the human experience. Elaine demonstrates that counseling can help us to maintain our connection to those we have lost in a way that promotes healthy integration of our experience. Elaine operates from a systemic, narrative perspective taking into account the uniqueness and spiritual nature of grief. She has significant experience with melanoma, breast and gynecological cancers, but has worked with all types of cancer in her career.

Elaine sees clients in person in the Forest Hill area of Toronto, but is available to see clients virtually across Ontario. She is available to provide a 15 minute consultation by phone to assess for fit and discuss her services.

Fee: $180/50 minute session
